SIMPLY RED - simply marvellous! Dedicated 2 MarySharon 
Somebody very close to me said she'd never seen a thread in this forum dedicated to one of the most talented bands ever, Simply Red. Fronted by singer/songwriter Mick Hucknall, Simply Red were, much like Prince, a melting pot for numerous musical styles - blending them all together to create an original sound which tantalizes the heart & mind. "Holding Back The Years", "It's Only Love", "You've Got It", "Say You Love Me", "Remembering The First Time", "Stars", "Never Never Love", "Something Got Me Started"...these are just a handful of some of the most amazing songs the world has ever known. You haven't heard any of them? -  Imagine what you're missing.

Oh yeah some great covers of very old songs. Mick has that soothing sound 4sho. I saw him live 1ce and was in awe. Great songs 4 lovers, but any1 can listen 2 it. Hell, he even takes a Barry White song and turns it into gold. Definitely a lover @ heart. Thank Mick. | |

He didn't write any of the songs himself did he? mayb i am wrong, but yeah i knew he did a Barry no. Does that 1 well. I was overseas in europe in 1999 and really liked the way he came across, image-wise, he had was all dressed in black. Whereas i recently purchased a dvd of him and he is prancing around in some pyjama...this kinda disappointed me personally as i liked him looking like he did, BUT the songs r alwasy fucking great and he does them with such little effort and charisma. Make no mistake he is GOOD. Great 4 lovemakin' | |
