Chill song of the day, Astrud Gilberto's, The Girl From Ipanema This song makes me feel so good, even though the vocal is kinda creepy--like a ghost trying to french kiss ya. But this is a great cut to melt into. All you others say Hell Yea!!

This is a very good track, albeit a little trite (just heard a version of it called "The Boy From Ipanema" on a Coke trailer at the movies; UGH!)! This was at the peak of that whole bossa nova phase, which I still THOROUGHLY enjoy! As wonderful as her voice is (and I have much of her stuff), I like her husband's voice better. Joao Gilberto's voice and guitar playing is so smooth while he's singing in Portuguese that it blows my mind. Some of my favs are his versions of Aquarela do Brasil, Rosa Morena, A Felicidade, Adeus America, Corcovado, and Aguas de Marco. There are many others, but these are the ones I can think of at this second.
