morris day-fishnet

whenever i hear morris day's fishnet i always wonder was that song the prelude 2 the time's 1990 reunion... i ask this cause the guitar solo sounds like somethin jesse would do, the keyboard break sounds like it had jam's finger prints all over it, and of course that bass has gotta belong 2 nobody other than terry lewis..am i on 2 somethin?

Are those the lyrics? I never really knew what he was saying. I always sing it, "Fishnet...black pantyhose...thick necks...short, stupid hoes..."

I just haven't listened to it for years, and then when I do hear it, those are the words that I automatically sing along.

LOL! It's time to re-program yourself to the right lyrics, which I know can be hard when you've been singing the wrong shit for many years.

I know. I've given up. There are songs that I've been singing wrong for years. Like what's that song from the 70s music "If you like pina coladas, and blah, blah, blah..." I ALWAYS sing it, "If you like peein' in the closet..." etc.

Really. It wasn't until maybe last year that I found out I was wrong.

Another classic "mis-speak", and that one's REALLY funny! LOL! Ah well. Stick with what works! smile

does it say "the time" NOOO just because its produced by jam and lewis does not mean the time appeared on that track... u assume wayyy too much joshy...settle down son..

so i must b blind...SO BLIND that it says:
Bass: Terry Lewis
keyboards, synths & drum programming: Jimmy Jam
Guitar: jellybean johnson (im assuming this maybe a type-o & is meant 2 be Jesse johnson)
Background Vocals: Jam & Lewis,Jerome Benton,Jellybean johnson,Jesse Johnson.

the time DO appear on this track,as i stated (minus one other member)
i never said it was a Time track...i sed: "The Time appear on that track"
John Blackwell appears on Xpectation but i am smart enuf 2 realise that it isnt a John Blackwell album or track.

damn give me SOME credit.

Anyone doesn't know the Time was on that song must be a younger cat. It was common knowledge at the time (hey hey a play on words) The video even showcases the Time with everyone but Jesse in it. I remember when Donnie Simpson did a special from Jam and Lewis' studio. They were working on the tracks with Morris and they played the beat to Fishnet. Man that shit was so funky! Too bad the only did two tracks on that album. Besides Love is a Game and Fishnet, that album was weak.
