Jobriath - Anyone Heard of Him? I was just listening to a song I downloaded called 'Rock of Ages' by a 70s glam rock singer called Jobriath and I think it's pretty damn good... His stuff is only on vinyl and MP3 right now. This guy got a little publicity when he was on a VH1 show, apparently he was one of the first explicitly gay rock stars, but his career bombed totally and he only released two albums, eventually dying of AIDs. Personally . I think we are all Boring with No Lives cause all we do is talk about Prince,Criticize and Gossip. I need a Horny Man is what I Need and probably so do most of yas. Heard of him, haven't heard him. Morrissey is a big fan. He tried to get him as support for his "Your Arsenal" tour and found out he couldn't because the guy had died. | |

I think Bowie's mentioned him a few times, and his name pops up once or twice around Pride every year - he seems like a marginal figure just waiting to make a posthumous "comeback" through rediscovery, a la Nick Drake. | |
