Damn I LOVE MYA

Whatever your opinion on her may be, I just have always Loved this girl, she just does it, I think shes cool because although u think shes RB she will do something else just to mess U up. She doesnt have a strog voice, but she can really dance and do good shows and she writes too plus se has good ideas on what sounds to use. Her new CD is not out until July 22nd but already I have heard most of it and its HOT!! Alot of different styles on it and it should do OK this summer. Plus she digs PRINCE too.

She's a cutie (although the record store I have seen a BUSTED pic of her w/no makeup and apparently very little sleep). I also liked that track "Free." Utimately, she's a second-rate Aaliyah, however.

I remember back in 1998 Mya came to our high school (3 months before her debut album dropped) and she came into our student government class and said she was a "new student." She was pulling our leg, of course. We didn't know who she was and then her manager comes in our classroom and shows us a video called "It's All About Me (ft. Sisqo)" and we were like "wow." Her manager was like "Mya's a new singer" and we were like "um, okay" -- we thought she was some local, independent singer *trying* to make it big. Three months later SHE'S ALL OVER MTV & BET. It was crazy, I can't believe she just popped up at our school to promote her album.

I don't have any Mya albums but I've heard her in passing and I think she has talent. She's heads and shoulders above Brandy. I don't get that comparison.

She's okay, I like her, sort of. I have her first album and it's fairly enjoyable. She sorta reminds me of Paula Abdul.

I like "free", "movin' on", "my first night with you", "it's all about me", and some other song-starts with 'the'.

I never bothered to buy her second album, but heard it thru a friend, not bad.
