My opinions on the article:

I'm surprised to see that Janet's working with 7 Aurelius. I'm somewhat disappointed with that. The whole Murder Inc. roster is garbage and 7 is known for his work with Ashanti "Foolish," J.Lo "Ain't It Funny (Remix)," Mary J. Blige "Rainy Dayz" and of course a lot of Ja Rule garbage. I don't want an album soiled with easily-recognizable samples and weak beats. Janet and J&L should dump 7 Aurelius and work with someone else.

The stuff on 2001's All For You was nice. Rockwilder did a little stuff on "You Ain't Right" and "Who," but J&L pretty much dictated the soundscapes for the entire LP. She did work on a couple of tracks with the Neptunes for AFY, but none of them ever saw the light of day. Busta's "What It Is Right Now" was originally intended for Janet, but her team declined it. I wonder what the Neptune stuff would've sounded like if Janet were to take it. Partially, I'm glad she didn't work with whatever "hot producer" because it would be like bandwagoning. Janet's not a new artist she doesn't have to prove her "hotness" or whatever. However, she still needs to keep it life.

I'm happy to hear that Janet is still being inventive and fresh by opting to create "hard-hitting dance music" this time around for her next project. I would love to have a couple of good Janet club jams, plus I can't live without more J&L slow jams -- I live for Janet/J&L slow jams. Janet proved her point with the carnally-obsessed "Would You Mind" so I'm anxious to see if she'll continue down the road of sexual provocation or something entirely different.

Stylistically, I'd love to see Janet flip it musically. I want more live instrumentation on the midtempo/slow tracks. Plus, I want Janet to experiment more with her dance/club tracks. I want my jaw to drop. I love the euphoric/happy Janet music (that's her trademark), but please, no more samples. I want all original music. Even if it's wack, it's still original and that's cool. Can't wait for the record.

the Rockwilder remix of SonOfAGun is f%$#in' CRAZY!!!

i think Rockwilder & J&L r whom she should stick with...

but aslong as it isnt filled with rappers Mariah style,
& dosen't include involvement with Murder Inc...
it should b fine.

rock on janet smile

I predict Janet's next album will feature

1) Continued solid production by Jam/Lewis -- they're the best, really. But, marring yet another solid effort will be Janet's tired pattern of ...

2) ... alternating between songs where she giggles and songs where she pants.

I love Janet smile

She totally got screwed on her last album "push".. The higher ups wanted to try to push the 20 years.. Britney and all her clones..

Janet's album was great! for them to only put on a couple songs and then just let it die/twist in the wind.. that was wrong.

because ALL those "britney clones" more or less bombed..

Looking forward to anything Janet puts out.. in music or movies

I do like the idea of Janet doing more hard hitting dance as well. That's what made AFY so great although there was a lot of great soul on there too ("The Truth"). I'm not happy with the new producer idea either. I think if she wants to go into a dance direction, why not a Rick Nowels. I liked what Rockwilder did (expect I hated that they used protions of his remix for "Doesn't Really Matter"). I expect this album will be great!
