Beyone surprised me with her beautiful song and voice. Ashanti pulled through, she surprised me as well, (better than what I thought from what I could hear...)

The Chaka & Mary J. duet was COOL, and I found it nice and supportive to see Pat duet with Lisa...but as far as the 'Diva' status goes, some there have very far to go, and I wonder if they'll have a 'Divo' show coming up soon...ha ha...

Whitney has just givin up crack in favor of eating.
I'm glad to see her getting healthy. She looked soo bad before. Now, she's regaining her beautiful and struggling to regain her voice. It's still not there. Wish she would have left Bobby at home tonight.

Queen Latifah was awesome when she entered on her Harley! Go Queen.

Beyonce was the ultimate Diva. She worked all her feminine assets. Loved her flirty duet with Jewel and her Dangerously in Love performance. Sexy and all-out Diva-ish, including the upward flairing of the arms at the end.

Chaka -- bored me.
Ashanit-- can't dance, can barely sing, pretty, but no stage presence. Compared to the sassy Beyonce, she was so sad to watch.

Celine-- good. And I usually hate Celine. But she was controlled and not too over the top.

Mary J-- hated it.

Lisa Marie-- shocked. I love her song and listen to it all the time. This must have been her first live performance (?). She was reallly bad. As I wannabe fan, I felt so sorry for her. She should have been louder and stronger. I don't know what to say. She might have just ruined her career. On wax, she's powerful. In person, a weak ass incarnation.

Tarryln-- Why did she choose to sing that fast mid-80's tune. I did not like it on her. I wish she'd sung a ballad. Better yet I wish TOMEY had won. I was waiting to record her singing The Other Side of Love, which she wrote. I love that song and could not download it on Grokster. No one's uploaded it yet. The guy on Born to Diva was right, if Tomey ever gets to release that, it will be #1.

I like that she is orginal and writes her own songs. I'm tired of people with good voices being prepped for showbiz and given songs. I don't always care if a person can belt. I like music and lyrics born from the core of an artist. That's why I first embraced Prince.

ok but is it ok for me to say that Bobby Christina isn't the most attractive little girl. She always looks bad...

2. Chaka Khan sounded great as usual, but she needs to stop alterating her outfit that she wore on the back of the Rufus album. That was damn near 25 years ago, Chaka...let it go!

3. Whitney sounded a damn mess, but she looked better (minus the beergut).

4. Celine Dion looked like Wendy Melvoin circa the Parade era, but I like that song she sang (same on in the commercial I think).

5. Why was Shania Twain even there? She sang like what...45 seconds?

6. Mary J. Blige looked good as hell, but was hitting some notes I don't even think existed.

7. Beyonce was the SHIT! Point blank!

8. I like Jewel's new song. I like that slutty-streetwalker vibe she's trying to give off now. That damn acoustic guitar was covering up all of her goods!

9. Ashanti needs to be demonted to the Murder Inc. receptionist.

10. Tarryln ripped it last night. I think America is finally realizing TRUE talent. Tomey sounded like a dude and posessed no soul whatsoever and I didn't really care for the other girl.

11. Queen Latifah was kinda corny at times, but overall I think she did a wonderful job. She can sing her ass off too!

I thought the whole thing was kind of messy. The deuts were kind of stupid other than Chaka and Mary tearing it up with "Sweet Thing"! And both their solo prefromances were good! I loved Beyonce (that's the first single, I would really hope!) and I like the Jewel song (I get it!). I only saw the beginging of the Celine Dion thing becuase it looked like she was lip synching. I didn't see Anshanti solo but man the Isley Brothers still have it. Too bad they had to put up with the Murder Inc. princess but she did ok on ""Who's That Lady". Lisa Marie was herself and the duet with Pat Bentar was embrassing for everyone. And Whitney...Bobby is just killing her slowly...but I still love you! I only caught the tail end of the new diva (sounded good) and didn't see Shania solo who I love. The Stevie Wonder thing was kind of crappy except for the Chaka duet.

Pat benetar saved Lisa MArie's act last night when they sang "heartbreaker." period. Pat ROCKS!!!

Poor Bobbi Christina. She takes after her ugly ass dad, complete with the gap between the teeth. If they could feed her a little less so she could lose the gorged look, she would look a little better.

I am so so saddened by Whitney Houston's performance. That girl does not even have that range anymore. It's disappointing to see her that way. She use to be able to sang! Now, she's just alright. What the hell was up with Bobby Brown..not that he was a real singer before..but he sounded bad too.

Whitney cannot even hang with Mariah no more Mariah has still got it!
