Brilliant lyricist and incredible voice.

I love Tracy Chapman. I think the reason we don't hear a lot about her is because she doesn't create music videos anymore so there isn't a way to truly market her on VH1 or the "music stations." So she's relegated to jazz/AC station playlists and promotional techniques. I enjoyed her 2000 album Telling Stories plus I was feeling "Let It Rain" but I enjoyed Telling Stories much more than her last album. I would love to see her on tour if she ever comes to my town.

tracy chapman is a great artist who's written some beautiful songs over the years... i still love playin along 2 her 1st album with "fast car" and "behind the wall" and i like "new beginning" with "the promise" and "at this point in my life"...

Shes great. She can be a little 'Ive suffered for my art, now its your turn' but shes a very good songwritter & artist
