just to follow up on an observation I made earlier in this theread. Despite Ruben winning, it appears Clay come away the big star from the show. His yet to be released CD-Single has now been the #1 seller on Amazon for 6 straight days. It went to #1 as soon as it was put in their system, before Clay even sang the song on the show, and has stayed there. Ruben's single, on the other hand, never even made it to the top 10 until he won the show, and while it did manage to make it to #2 for a couple of days, it never passed Clay's single and it's dropping already, down to #4.

The real winner of this show are the producers. They pulled strings to make it look like a competition to keep viewers interested, all the while knowing that by doing that, they could pimp 2 winners to the public.

The record company wins by signing Ruben and Clay to the label, then marketing them to different demographics. Ruben will be marketed at the R&B/urban market, and Clay will be marketed to the pop market. American Idol is nothing but a hyped up marketing machine.

5.What the hell happened with Kelly? She had/has a great voice...but that song she performed...it sounds like a christina-wannabe song...I had high hopes for her disbelief

If you mean "Miss Independant", it sounds like Christina because she wrote it. She decided not to use the song for herself on "Stripped".
