I Just Saw Fleetwood Mac Live!!!!! oh man...this show was incredible! i haven't heard guitar like this since the electric night of the celly last year! but i think i liked lyndsey's style better! The only way to desribe it is hard, passionate and so f'n sexy! I have to say that buckingham has got to be the most underrated guitar man EVER!!! I have seen the mac live before but this was phenomenal...if you get the chance, check out this show. Beautiful Child, World Turning, Second Hand News, Tusk, Eyes of the World, Big Love...the list just goes on and on! They played for 2 1/2 hours...incredible! The highlight of the show had to be lyndsey performing a new song (from Say You Will) called Come...man, this guitar had me practically weeping! The best part of the whole day, though, was meeting stevie and lyndsey before the show. And by chance even! stevie is the coolest woman in the world...so down to earth. ok, so i'm rambling a bit here...i'm gonna chill out now and relax before bed, but i just wanted to share this with you.
I can't wait to see what purplegypsy has to say about the show.

Totally has the Fleetwood Mac sound but modern and really pushing the envelope. The best part of the whole day, though, was meeting stevie and lyndsey before the show. well, my friend was visiting from out of town (for the show) and we had a few hours to kill before showtime. we were walking to get a bite to eat and passed by the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. There were limos parked outside and my friend, jokingly, said "Hey, is that fleetwood mac?" and laughed. well...it was. they were coming down to leave for the venue ( i suppose). we stuck around for a little bit and said hi to john macvie, who was polite. mick fleetwood was abrupt (but hey, he's old and has the right to be cranky...haha). by this point we were pretty psyched to have the chance to meet stevie and lyndsey. when stevie came out she went straight into the limo without looking but i yelled something about a comment she made regarding why she wouldn't sing a particular new song. she sent the guard over for me and my friends and introduced herself and thanked me for the compliment. she signed my ticket and we exchanged a few more words and that was it. i don't have a big lyndsey story, sorry to say...just said hi to him and told him to have a good show...purplegypsy has better lyndsey story (she was one of the peeps with me). ha...i guess i'm still pretty wound up about it! sorry for the book long explanation! goodnight.

I was in L.A. about a month ago in the Sur La Table store just browzing & looked over & saw this tall white haired guy with this young blonde & they were looking at juicers. I barely noticed them at all & went back to cruising the aisle we were in. Then I hear this voice - "This one is great - it goes brrreee." I thought "I know that voice - thats Lindsey Buckingham." And sure enough there he was - standing in Sur La Table looking a juicers. We didn't approach him & I don't know who the hot babe was. His hair was almost pure white. I think he puts a rinse on it because it sure looks dark on the new cd cover.

but lyndsey's not tall or white haired. he's only about 5'9. maybe you're thinking of mick who does have white hair and is tall and lanky?

but lyndsey's not tall or white haired. he's only about 5'9. It was Buckingham. The girl was short so maybe he appeared tall next to her. The hair color was the shocking thing thats why I think he puts a rinse on it. It was the voice that I recognized. His voice doing that "bbrrreee" noise. I went over & got my wife & she verifed it was Buckingham. If it wasn't him then it was his clone. maybe you're thinking of mick who does have white hair and is tall and lanky? Put a head shot of Mick Fleetwood next to Lindsey Buckingham - theres no way to confuse those two.

Here's what I posted on my Stevie list on meeting the band with "I'mnotjustsayinthis2bnasty":
AAAH!!! Yesterday around 4 pm outside their hotel!!! My first time! It was everything I've been waiting for!!! It's sucha great story--Stevie came out in her HUGE hair rollers!!! It was so cute!!! Ok ok ok-I have to compose myself...so we got to the Ritz around 3:30 --surprisingly there were only like 4 other people outside waiting (rude people I might say). John mcVie came out around 4:00 and the rude fans bombarded him and you could tell he just wanted to get into the limo. Then Mindy and SHaron came out and I told Mindy she was a great addition to the band and she thanked me. Then Mick came out and the rude people bomabrded him(meanwhile I'm still standing on the side patient because if I'm a good girl I know it will work out!!)Mick didn't even look at anyone and said "I'm not signing." it was sooo cold-perhaps they were harassing him outside the hotel earlier in the day??? So the security guard asked me who I wanted to see..of course I said Lindsey - and he winked at me and said "You will meet him." EEEH! So about 15 mintues later a tiny entourage comes out and this little lady in these huge pink rollers comes out!!! STEVIE!!! ok so she walks right past me into her limo and I frowned. I couldn't believe it...I was so sad. So I screamed really loud as she was getting in "I know you have to leave but I just wnat to thank you for your music because it's made me better! Thank you for the Wild Heart!" So she gets in the security guard comes up to me and my friend Jason and he says "She'll see you now." SHe asked for us!!! And the security guard woldn't let the 4 rude people near the car--so we talked to her while she sat in the limo and she signed my ticket. "To Naomi...love Stevie Nicks." And jason goes to her, "I hope you consider putting RUnning through the garden back into the setlist. I have faith in your voice during this song. Don't ever be scared to sing your new songs!" And she gave him the warmest smile...i think it meant the world to her...who knows. Ok ok ok --now the best part!!! LINDSEY!!! So he comes out and gets bombarded and the security guard directs him to MEEE!!! So I say really quickly, "I been waiting so long to thank you for the Tusk album and for out of the cradle and he smiled and said thank you so much. He signed my ticket. Then I said I hope you'll consider performing save me a place again because it's my favorite song. He put his hands together up against his heart and said "Thank you so much." Oh my god--what a day!!! It was everything I've dreamed about...Lindsey was so sweet. And the concert was so great! Ok thanks for letting me share. Let the rain come down...17 days....
