i am a mormon. thats how i knew she joined the church.

Mormon is just a nickname that has become overused by people. the name of the CHruch is THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS.

We believe in the bible and that jesus christ is the savior. we differ on the doctrine of the trinity. we believe that god and christ and the holy ghost are seperate beings but ONE in purpose. this will take too much time to go into but i am sure most of you would know where i am coming from on this.

THe main difference is that we believe in modern day prophets and one of them was Joseph smith. he translated a book of scripture that was written hundreds of years ago. he was directed to them and given the power to translete them. this new book of scripture coincides with the bible and does not replace it as some think we believe. anyway this book is called THE BOOK OF MORMON. hence where our nickname comes from.
