GLADYS KNIGHT

Ain't she 1 of the greatest singers?
If U want proof just check out the live album
Live at the Roxy,from 1980.
Her performance on this is 1 of her best ever,
& the band is cooking.Stevie Wonder & Dionne Wawrick
is guesting on Landlord.
My favourite tho' is I don't want to do wrong
& If I were your woman.
She´s definitly a legend in her own time.
Give it up 4 Gladys Knight y'all!

Sorry, it took me awhile, but Gladys Knight is one of my alltime favorite singers. There is not another voice on the planet like hers.

The Claudine soundtrack is my favorite. She and Curtis should have collaborated more often.

Gladys Knight is a goddess and I love her! I have followed her career for many years now and she has so many great songs,it's absurd...

"Landlord" with the Pips (1980)
"You're Number One (In My Book)" with the Pips (1983)
"I've Got To Use My Imagaination" with the Pips (1973)
"I Don't Wanna Do Wrong" with the Pips (the 60s)
"License To Kill" (1989)
"It's Gonna Take All Our Love" with the Pips (1987)
"I Will Fight" with the Pips (1985?)
"On And On" with the Pips (1974)
"With Every Beat Of My Heart" with the Pips (the 60s)
"Save The Overtime For Me" with the Pips (1983)
"Midnight Train To Georgia" (1973)

And I absolutely LOVE her 1994 song produced by Babyface "I Don't Want To Know".Man,she really tells her cheating husband a thing or two!! Check out the chorus...

"I Don't Want To Know
I couldn't care less about your feelings
Don't you know
You shoulda cared more about mine
And I don't want to know
It really doesn't matter why you're leaving
You should know
You're really throwin' away your life
And I won't sympathize
You've hurt me for the last time
I got no tears left to cry...say goodbye"

Her strong voice is tailor-made for songs like that smile

Gladys is FUNKY!!!

Check "You Need Love Like I Do (Don't You)" and "Daddy Could Swear (I Declare)"...one of my old bands covered both those jams!

I still like Gladys Knight & The Pips' version of "Grapevine" better than any other.

*aping Sylvia from "The Golden Girls"*

"Picture it: The mid-1980s. Adding to a string of celebrity anthems for charities is "That's What Friends Are For."
Dionne Warwick is doing her best mannequin impersonation. Elton John's hamming it up for the cameras and Stevie Wonder's his usual cherubic self. By the vamp, we the members of an insouciant audience are all being lulled to sleep by this wall of sugar.

Who else can cut through this well-intended saccharine but one Gladys Knight?

And, dang it, yeah, I know she's lip-synchin' throughout the video like the others. But, the way she's throwin' her hair and shakin' her head ... The way the veins in her neck are poppin out, Gladys is breakin' through for sure, waking us and making us *feel it.* Yes, that's what friends are for. Why of course!"

Yes, we dig her. Amen.

Momma got her cooking book too and from what I notice,,,it ain't that bad at all!

How come nobody mentioned "Here I Am Again?" and "Between Her Hello & My Goodbye" gawd, these 2 jams are TRUE heartbreakers!

Millie Jackson still consider her, her all time ROLE MODEL! I wonder what does Gladys Knight think of Millie(I'm guessing it ain't that cool).
