24 Hour Party People is the dramatized documentary about the Manchester music-scene between 1976 and 1992 and the crazy record-boss Tony Wilson. Bands like Joy Division (later to be New Order) and in the end Happy Mondays were in this scene of craziness, drugs & music.
Has anyone seen this movie, does anyone dig the pre-Oasis Madchester scene?

And YES. I have seen it. It is a fun movie. The way they filmed it is very funny.

Not based on facts, sumtimes, but as he admits it himself, that is kewl.

I liked the mix they used on the DVD in the menu. But is a mix, damnit, not on the OST. F*ckers.

And Oasis are the most pathetic rip off band ever. Worse than Led Zeppelin. Noel is an okay lad. But Liam is a f*cking wanker. As is his every Mrs.

I really dig this movie! It was well done, and full of energy and humor!

As for Madchester...I loved it all...Blur, Ride, Lush, Happy Mondays, Charlatans, Inspiral Carpets, Stone Roses, and on and on and on...that 'scene' forever changed my musical tastes...too much fun!

I do kinna like Noel, as well...I just wish he'd go out on his own...I saw Oasis live, ONCE and will NEVER do that again. The last time we were in Mpls, someone offered me a free ticket. I refused it. THAT'S how much I dislike them...
