Hot to death. Yeah I am sick of hearing everything she does in every newpaper or magazine. And when she puts her hair up she has funny ears. And her Bronx accent can get very annoying. Still the fact remains she is hot as hell. Anyone that says that isn't simply doesn't like her.

Used to like her. Not anymore.

With the fur wearing, I think J.Lo may be trying to pull an Aretha. Aretha Franklin wears big fur coats regardless of what anybody says. A while ago, PETA objected when Aretha showed up at some public event wearing an expensive fur.

Aretha's fans blasted PETA, saying that Aretha is a Supreme Diva and Queen of Soul, therefore, she can wear whatever she wants to wear. Ever since then, Aretha has been one of the few hig profile celebrities who can get away with wearing fur.

It looks like J.Lo is trying to do something similar.

maybe i'm biased because i'm just so proud that a latina
(especially a puerto rican like myself) has done so well

her success like the success of gloria estefan, opens up so many doors for our people and all latinos to live their dreams

much like what margaret cho has said about not having any asian faces in the media when she was growing up. she aspired to be an actress but only dreamt she could play an extra or the part of a hooker.

little latinas can look to j-lo and say, you know what:
i want to be in movies. i want people to wear my perfume.
i want people to wear my clothes.

so she may not be the best role model or best attress or best singer.

she is a great source of inspiration for latin kids who want to be better and get more out of life.

as for her stealing aretha's fashion sense...that's simple

the only things i've ever seen aretha wear in public are things you would dare somebody to wear.

but who cares...she's a freakin' legend
