Nah Chris, it's not about snobbishness, it's about
being unimpressed compared to previous decades.
When I'm a snob I can readily acknowledge it. nod

This CD reminds me of the summer of 97, which was the best summer of my life! Never did so much dancing to the same CD! Gives me a high when I'm out with my girls and we are just crusin'! THIS CD IS ONLY FOR THOSE WHO ARE READY TO DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY !! And for anyone who doesn't like this CD, you don't know what good dancing music is !! WHAT A SHAME !!! i just can't gibe the 90's too much credit. sorry, y'all! i'm sure i'm just a product of my generation (although many of my favorites came out of the 90's) but it just seemed like a rehash of every other decade. the 80's was really the last experimental "pop" period. don't get me wrong, there is still plenty of experimental and orginal music...it's just not readily available like it was in the 80's. nothing except radiohead really sticks out for me from the 90's.

The reason the 90s are so special to me is because I grew up during this decade. I hear songs and it makes me so flipping nostalgic. Every song has a memory attached to it. I'm not saying it's the best, I just have a special place for it in my heart. I'm sure you have a decade that is similar.
