the 90's overall have been my least overall favorite decade for Music aside from R.Kelly,Mint Condition,Brand New Heavies,Tony,Toni,Tone,DJ Quik,Soundgarden, alice in chains,Dr.Dre,Snoop Dogg,Nate Dogg,Three Tenors,Lauyren Hill,Maxwell,D'angelo,Roy Hargrove,Russell Gunn,&a few other Folks.this Era of Music has Been like a 70's vibe without the full 70's Flavor.a pinch of past styles.Sampling/Looping took over.Dead Icons became Common Place,Business Tycoon's popped out all over.Logo Wearing&Clothing became statements.Movie's within Videos took off.the 90's was basically One Big Sample&Loop of the Past unlike any other Decade that I have ever seen in my life Period.aside from a few Albums for me personally this Era was more built for the Single&the Irony is that in alot of retail outlets the Single went by the waist side.

Y'all are listing a lot of pop, r+b and rap, but my 90's playlist consisted mostly of alternative rock. And for that, the decade can't be beat. Here's who I was into and still love from the last decade.

Bjork
Tricky
Tori Amos
Smashing Pumpkins
PJ Harvey
Nirvana
Liz Phair
Beastie Boys
The Breeders
Chili Peppers
Elastica
Beck
Hole
U2
Annie Lennox

Saddest thing about the 90's is, it marked the first decade without black bands. While there was some good shit released in the 90's, it's really the decade where music became souless.

No "Love's Gonna Getcha"?

I'll come up with some more?

Yeah, there is. But all the stuff I liked from that decade didn't suck. wink lol

A few off the top of my head:

Meshell Ndegéocello's first three albums.
The bulk of Ani DiFranco's catalog is from the '90s.
Soundgarden.
Public Enemy's first two albums of that decade: Fear of a Black Planet and Apocolypse 91...The Enemy Strikes Back.
U2's Zooropa, and Achtung Baby.
Sinéad O'Connor's second album in 1990.
...hmmm...I know there's more (probably more individual songs than albums), but they don't immediately spring to mind.
This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.
