Blur - new album Anyone else got this yet?
I'm just listening to for the first time, in the background. And quite a few times already, there have been bits and pieces that really remind me of Prince. I never thought that would happen on a Blur album. Anyone else heard it and think the same? It doesn't sound a bit like Prince to me though. No matter, because it's an absolute masterpiece.

I think it sounds more like Radiohead than Prince. I like a few songs a lot. Good Song is a great groove, also songs 10-13 I love.

No, I agree, overall it does sound more Radiohead. What I meant was, there were a couple of times, just little pieces, that made me think og Prince. can't remember which, don;t have the album to hand. But it is an amazing album. ----------------------------------------------------------------------

No way! I guess you mean "Kid A" or "Amnesiac"? Fuggeddit! Blur have always been a lot of fun, even when their music has been at its bleakest. Radiohead have never been fun. Ever!

Recommended Blur sites:
www.damon-albarn.com (great for rare downloads) www.mourby.plus.com/blur/...noise.html (a couple of good downloads here - one very rare) www.blur.co.uk (official - but excellent - it's free and a million times better than NPGMC) Enjoy

I'm loving this album. Very diverse styles and far more accessible than 13 (but not as good, imo!)
Fave tracks are Ambulance, Out Of Time, Good Song, Sweet Song and Jets.
