Now that's a blast from the past!

I've got tons, but I'll only list one for now: "Do you wanna get funky with me?" That's disco, right?

Yes,that could be considered Disco.I prefer his 1978 hit "Dance With Me",with it's infectious Betty Wright cameo...

Finess, I'm pretty sure it's the South Shore Commission. (You're close! smile) Was that track HOT or what? I've gotta check my collection for this one; can't remember whether or not I own it.

I was thinking of Lipps Inc. when I made this list.Do you remember their debut album in 1980? The whole album only consisted of four songs! My favorite was "All Night Dancing",I used to LOVE that song...

"when you get the feeling deep inside your bone, dancing is the thang that you do...waiting all day long just to hear your favorite song, then dancing to the beat that you love..."

Casablanca really screwed up by not releasing that song as a single.I think it's even better than "Funkytown"!

It is indeed an R&B song. The brothers have often said that, when they were recording these tracks, they were simply making R&B but because the movie centers around the Disco scene, people considered them "disco songs".
