"Love just don't come easy...no,it seldom does...when you find the perfect love...let it fill you up"

smile Love this song! The entire 'Bad Girls' album is truly groundbreaking and exhilarating. The underrated tracks "One Night In A Lifetime" and "Can't Get To Sleep At Night" are great too.

The really underrated stuff was the ballads, which consisted of a whole side of the album (which was a double album, so the ballads made up 1/4). "My Baby Understands" channels Janis, "On My Honor" has a sweet country twang, "There Will Always Be A You" is mystical and "All Through the Night" is a tear jerker! Excellent album!

"Dim All THe LIghts" is great because it was the only Donna hit I know of that she wrote alone! It was orginally intended for Rod Stewart but she chickened out and did it herself. Glad she did. Awesome sexy song!

Where is Donna now?

"Where is Donna now?"

In 1999,Donna signed a new record contract with Sony and she released a "Live" CD that year. She then began work on a new studio album tilted 'Angel',which contained songs like...

"Angel"
"Rain On My Shoulders"
"Beautiful"
"Only Words"
"Work It"
"Tearin Down The Berlin Wall"
"Til You Get It"

The album has apparently been scrapped and Summer no longer records for Sony. But,the track "Beautiful" has been leaked to a few nightclubs.Summer continues to record new songs as she negotiates for another record deal.If all goes as planned, she will release a new CD and a book before year's end.

Isn't it funny how you can love a song and not know the name of it? I had no idea what Babyclaps was talking about until I clicked on this thread and saw the words. D'oh!

One funny thing about this song.Donna sings some rather "imaginative" lyrics near the end...

"Do it tonight, you know the moment is right,TURN MY BROWN BODY WHITE,come on dim all the lights..."

Anybody wanna interpret that? wink

Not personally, but I've read about it from folks on another message board that have.

It's been played in a few gay clubs in London.

Are you kidding me? I can't wait for that! thanks for the info. I was really looking forward to Polygram relreasing her disc. I smell a comeback! Awesome! I will let aside the money right now for it! And please post any updates here. She is one of my favorites and I'm glad to see so many others dig her as well. And "Live and More Encore" was great. I followed her stuff up until a few years ago when she hadn't released anything! I have the "Power Of One" single from Pokemon. I was dissapointed to hear that Sony dropped her. Please update us on that too. Isley Brothers got a new record out that will probably hit (which I think it great!) but Donna Summer can't get signed to a label!

It's long overdue for Polygram to remaster her old albums. Now that they're remastering 'Bad Girls',hopefully they will go back and do the same to her other albums, particularly 'Once Upon A Time' (1977),'I Remember Yesterday'(1977) and 'Live And More' (1978).
