I love that "MP Suite" but would take the electronic side of "Once Upon A Time" or the ballad side of "Bad Girls" over it anyday. Gotta check out those albums if you don't have them! Sitll, there is something refined and beautiful about her verison of MP along with the sweet "Heaven Knows" and the upbeat "One Of A Kind" (never really a fast disco number like this one before).

My love affair with Donna Summer began with "Last Dance" in the summer of '78.A few months later, she released the "MacArthur Park Suite" and I was totally hooked. She sings her ass off on this 17-minute,47-second masterpiece! It's really a stunning performance. My favorite part is just right before "Heaven Knows" begins. The music of "MacArthur Park" just builds and builds and builds, then boom!...it segues effortlessly into the beautiful "Heaven Knows".

I remember my mother buying me the 2-LP "Live And More" album and I was in heaven...lol...this is one of the all-time best Live albums ever.Donna totally re-invigorates songs like "Spring Affair" and "Try Me,I Know We Can Make It".In fact,I prefer the Live versions to the originals!

Hell,I'm gonna go play this CD right now smile
