American Idol - Bee Gees edition

I'd rank the performances tonight (best performance from each of them) like this

1 - Clay - To Love Somebody
2 - Ruben - How Can YOu Mend A Broken Heart
3 - Josh - To Love Somebody
4 - Kimberly - Emotion

And I think that these performances were probably the best each of them has done in the competition. Simon said Clay's was the best of the 2 years he's done American Idol and the year he did the english version. And Robin said Ruben's was the best he's heard anyone do that song. Josh just stunned me - that was easily his best performance of the competition.

Josh was tryin to fight his way back, buh bye. Put all of us out our misery. Please don't make us listen to ANOTHER week of you trying to sing. It's like watching E. J. or A. J., or Jim Vaharos (?) from last year.

Hey, I don't think Clay winked one time tonight, or did I miss it?

Go ROOO!!! He is the ONLY one that does not look like he is trying to win a competition, he is just smoooth.

to add somemore to what I said.

First, I do think Clay, Ruben and Josh had their best performance of the competition last night in the songs listed above, but Kimberly has had better nights.

I'd put Josh's Jive Talkin' down as the worst performance of the night. How can a song called Jive Talkin' be done as a country song. If he wanted to do country, there are a couple dozen country songs written by the Bee Gees, including a full album they wrote for Kenny Rogers.

I thought Kimberly would have done better to pick one of the songs they did for Barbara Streisand than picking an Andy Gibb song - something to better show off her range.

Tonight's vote off should come down to Josh and Kimberly. His To Love Somebody was better than either of her songs, but his Jive Talkin was worse.

For Ruben, I wasn't crazy about his Nights on Broadway - I was hoping he'd pull it out in the slow part of the song, but he quit singing right as that part was coming.

For Clay, there are a lot of Bee Gees song that would have fit him better than Grease.

There's no way Clay or Ruben should be in the bottom 2 this week. Clay's To Love Somebody and Ruben's How Can You Mend a Broken Heart are the best I've heard either of them sing in the whole competition.

And in the end it will be Ruben vs. Clay. JOSH HAS GOT TO FUCKING GO TONIGHT!!!
