Show Ya Love: Boogie Down Productions . . .

Let me begin.

What Where Why or When.

I just got my copies of "By All Means Necessary" and "Ghetto Music: The Blueprint of Hip-Hop" to round out the BDP collection. These classic joints offer stunning contrasts to 90% of the "gahbige" they call hip-hop these days.

Who's with me?

"do you eva think about when you're outta here?" KRS is the man. Today's stuff shouldn't even be in the same discussion with people like him and Rakim. Do you think any one of these "rappas" today could freestyle with Kris?

Remember, I said I was rounding out my collection!

I already had Criminal Minded, Edutainment and Sex and Violence. I had owned tapes of BAMN and GM but finally acquired them on CD. Now I need Live Hardcore Worldwide.

My favorite BDP albums are Criminal Minded and Edutainment. I love the interludes on Edu.. they're so insightful and full of intriguing sociological commentary. I recommend you guys check out Edutainment if you're interested in thought-provoking music. "Beef" had a huge impact of my family. That whole album made me question a lot of things that I did. It made me question myself and my purposes and what I was about so it was a catalyst.
