Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm "shakes head" you just can't stop, could ya? hehe,,uhhh I couldn't blame ya.
Anyway, I'm "praying" that Miss Winbush lift something new 4 their new LP. I know they went on their separate ways but I still think they shouldn't 4get about her. Maan, if its up 2 me I would make a yahoo group about Angie but I just don't have enough in4mation about her and I ain't that impressive when it comes 2 do a research about someone like her. Oh well [This message was edited Tue May 6 13:26:09 PDT 2003 by Harlepolis]

When it comes 2 music, R.Kelly is my baby and you know it but if you want me 2 be honest with you. I don't feel good about giving him the "full" credit. Hell, Ron and the rest of his crew can make much waaay much betta than what will come outta Robert's bag. No matta how hard that brotha could come up with he sho as hell won't make such classic #s like "For The Love Of You" or "Choosy Lover" which proves my point about bringing the crew 2ghether again. I'll enjoy his stuff with Ron and crew but only if Ron didn't give him that "huge" credit. However, I give him the credit 4 bringing 'em back 2 the mainstream in the 90's and in the 00's.

I just picked up Body Kiss and to me the cd is hot. The Isley's keep providing that heat for the bedroom. Wasn't there already enough of us born to their music???

Ronnie Isley is definitely pimpin' the Mr. Bigg thing. Is this the biggest reinvention in R&B or what? I mean, homey's gettin' paid all over again.
Sure, many of us were down with his sweet voice since the Isley Bros. days but now the new schoolers get a chance to hear what the fuss was all about. Right on!

You ain't never Lied because How Many R&B Acts from way back in the day outside of a Oldies but Goodies or Cit-Lin Circut type Tour can be Re-Invented for the Modern Era like this? I feel that Ronald Isley Sounds Even Better with each passing year.can't wait for the BET Show&Special on them tonight.Sure, many of us were down with his sweet voice since the Isley Bros. days but now the new schoolers get a chance to hear what the fuss was all about. I really love the Isley Bros.,but I just can't listen to their new music. This whole "Mr.Biggs" nonsense is absurd, and as you know,I'm not really an R.Kelly fan either so,I think I will stick to their old stuff.

It's really good stuff. I'd go as far as to say if you can't feel "Body Kiss" then you're not really down for The Isley Bros period.

Then SOME would probably be incorrect. I haven't heard Body Kiss yet, so I have no assessments of it, but I know there are some in the circles of Isley Bros. fans who see the Isleys of today as a watered down version of themselves. Many younger people who are familiar with the Isleys are more familiar with the slow jams the Isleys put out. Let's not forget that these are also the guys who wrote songs like "Fight The Power", "The Ballad of the Fallen Soldier", "Harvest for the World", and "Take Me To The Next Phase" and so on. I won't even mention "Shout" or "Twist and Shout", too. (oops, I just did!). Bottom line is that they dropped fast cuts as well as very powerful political and social commentary in their compositions - none of which you hear from them these days. I commend Kelly for pulling them back into the limelight, because THEY DESERVE IT, but Kelly is about as deep as a puddle of water. Ron and the boys probably feel no need to rock the boat and may even just view this as "easy money", but in reality, this is sort of like asking Lawernce Fishburn to return to the screen as his "Jimmy Jump" character from King Of New York. But I digress. Like I said, this is the opinion of SOME fans. I think in general, pepople are just glad to see them still working. I'll be peeping this CD out real soon.

Kelly haters at this site, hence the wink but if you dig Ronald's vocals, the songs at least rank up with their 80s and 90s output. I understand some may feel alienated by RK's being in control and the Mr Biggs persona etc...

Yeah, I think Donnie came in late 90s for RK (and featured ever since even relegating Ernie to bit parts on new Isleys LP) and I heard the girl in "the video" was his guitarists daughter but I doubt that meant Donnie, dunno.
