How can somebody produce an independent LP, how much does it cost to make it and how do you release/publish it??

For example, Slyeena Johnson's debut LP(the one b4 Chapter 1) is Independet. How does she manage to sell it?

All these questions need 2 be answered cuz I honestly don't know nothing about this.

It's just a phrase for small label with no fat cat funding. Supposedly more room for art etc, so much more credible.

In the UK the years of "Brit Pop" (Stone Roses, Oasis, Blur etc) were sometimes called "Indie music" even though most of the albums were released on majors.
