I'm guessing there'll be a limited edition package like her last two albums?

Just about to listen to the 7-track album sampler now! Are they full length tracks or just snippets? What's the bonus UK track called? I cannot wait for this album. I think it'll be the album of the year.

this could be a big year for Annie... with the right promotion, and assuming the album is as good as I think it is, it could be a favorite come Grammy-time.
Let's hope... | |

I saw a snippet of Annie performing live a few days or a week or so ago on TV. I forget for what or where she was performing, but man! she was great!
Really soulful, for those few seconds I stopped what I was doing and just was floored by her perfromance! She sound GREAT! I think may have been a new song. I forget what TV show, could of been Extra or something.

Tell me what the cover looks like and I'll tell you if it will be the album cover.

No. I know what the album cover will look like. My flatmate is working on the album at BMG UK, and he came home with the proofs today, including the back cover where Annie discusses why she has chosen the rather stark image for the cover. There will be a bit of tinkering, but basically it's nearly finished, and it is designed beautifully.
If I can get the full set of scans, I will post them here. The extra UK track is likely to be a live version of one of the tracks off the album, in an attempt to stop grey imports from the US taking sales away from BMG UK> ----------------------------------------------------------------------

From her tourbook on the cover:
"This is just by means of a small description to illustrate my thoughts and feelings about the particular image I've chosen for the album cover. It contains songs that are deeply personal and emotional. In a sense I have 'exposed' myself through the work to reveal aspects of an inner world which are fragile...broken through experience, but not entirely smashed. I am not a young artist in their early twenties. I am a mature woman facing up to the failed expectations of life and facing up to 'core' issues. I don't want to represent myself visually in some kind of cliched, airbrushed, saccharine kind of way. I want to reveal myself as I am. For me this is a powerful and courageous statement. I have never been known to 'toe the safety line', in terms of how I represent myself. As an artist, I need to be authentic...to take risks...to break the mould when necessary. The 'posture' of the image refers back to earlier days of Eurythmics with the 'Touch' cover, only this time I have now turned to face the audience eye to eye, as it were. I am as 'Bare' as the title suggests, though not entirely exposed. The image is timeless, genderfree, and racially ambiguous. I could be a statue, a ghostly apparition, or an Indian Saddhu. The false lashes represent the artifice of 'performance'. The colour has been drained from my mouth (where the words and sounds issue from) to saturate the title with redness. (Signifying lifeforce and anger). The leather studded belt around my neck has all kinds of symbolic implications. I hope it makes sense to you. Love..Annie."
