Mavis Staples, at 86 years old, released a wonderful album Sad and Beautiful World near the end of 2025. It was one of the top reviewed albums of the year. I listened to the first song Chicago a while back, and it just didn't grab mean so I am just getting back to the playing the entire album a few times. It is good throughout, with Mavis providing the grit and soul sadly missing in most of the music today. It is an amazing accomplishment for anyone, especially for someone of her age.
