I didn't like the Missy remix. I thought it was boring. But I liked the Paul Rauhofer remixes.

I just bought the "American Life" maxi-single too! It contains the following tracks...
"American Life" (Missy Elliot American Dream Remix) "American Life" (Oakenfold Downtempo Remix) "American Life" (Felix da Housecat's Devin Dazzle Club Mix) "American Life" (Peter Rauhofer's American Anthem Part 1) "American Life" (Peter Rauhofer's American Anthem Part 2) "Die Another Day" (Richard Humpty Vission Electrofried Mix) The Missy remix is EXCELLENT!!! It's just too short,though.She should have extended it to about 6 or 7 minutes.It features a cool rap by Missy,and nice background vocals by Tweet.I love the way the chorus sounds on this remix.I'd like to see Maddy work with Missy again. The Oakenfold remix is also GREAT! It seems like the producers had a fun time with Maddy's rap,doesn't it? The Felix da Housecat remix has it's moments too,but I could do without the two remixes from Peter Rauhofer.Those sound too cold,too trancy,too rave-like,for my tastes. | |

alright, with one listen-thru here's where I'm at...
Missy's remix is cool, but it's gonna take a little more attention till I "get it." DavidEye, you are right this mix should be longer...it seems to end right as I'm really catching the groove...the way the rap is included in here is just too much fun! Oakenfold's mix KICK'S ASS. Yummm, this is definately going on my next party mix! I just love Mr Oakenfold, he has remixed such a wide array of artists and it's almost always kickin... The Peter remixes...ummm yeah, a titch redundant, she shoulda got someone else to do a mix (Basement Jaxx perhaps?) solid single though, totally worth it! the DAD remix...oh my God, where are the glowsticks and the near naked men with body glitter? I feel like I'm trapped in a circuit party and I can't get out!!! That being said, I know I'd completely dig this mix in a, ummm, certain state of mind...
