Have you attended any shows this year?
Who and how was the show?
Are planing on seeing any one?

2025

January 13, 2025
WWE
Monday Night Raw

Was a great show! The energy of the crowd was amazing.
Got to see some of my favorite stars CM Punk
The also filmed 2 matches for The Main Event tv show.
After RAW went off the air there were a few dark matches *not telivised*
The whole thing lasted 4 hrs, a bit long

May 10, 2025
Halsey
For My Last Trick Tour
Openers : The Warning , Del Water Gap
Concord, CA • Toyota Pavilion at Concord

Halsey : The first stop of her new Tour. Played to a sold out crowd (So she said)
I only knew a hand full of songs. Pretty good stage show, big screen, lights, pyro. There wss an Alice in wonderland theme to the show. She was full of energy. Great voice, I swear i could hear some backing tracks on some songs. But to be expected. There was some adult themed dancing, bondge. Over all a great show

I noticed you included WWE Raw. My son wanted to go to one of the events we saw advertised and I saw that they're holding Smackdown over here in August. But the average ticket price is insane. It's like €400. I don't think I can justify that. But it is kind of a once in a lifetime kind of thing. They don't come to Ireland often. So maybe. Do you think it's worth that price?

Oh wow thats a lit of money! Google says $448 US Dollars!

It's very hard to say if it's worth the price.
How are the seats, what is the line up

I don't want you to spend alot, but i also hope 1 day you both get to go.

Maybe ifs it's once in a life time thing.

I paid over $400 for 2, Nine Inch Nails. I'm guilty of spending. And no I'm not rich

RAW : I think we paid near $250 for 2 tickets, upper section, but still good seats in my opinion. We both loved it, when we saw Smackdown we didn't participate in much chants, but this time we were both into it.. yeet. So was the crowd. We had fun. Great show, we both got to see people we like. Seth, Rhia, CM Punk. I feel like it ran an half hour over. (You know how sometimes Raw is 2 1/2 hours vs 3 hrs) like I said it ran 4 hrs. By the end we were ready to go.

Oh by the way.
When we went to Smackdown, the 2 Dark matches featured Raw stars. Cody, Liv morgan
When we went to Raw, the dark matches featured stars from Smackdown. Bailey, LA Knight

They were in Sacramento last month, April (14th). I wanted to buy tickets the prices were $131 each. I hesitated. Checked a few days later and prices jumped up to $190 that's where I stopped and said nope.

Now here's the thing with Livenation.com/Ticketmaster here in the USA. Tickets prices can change on demand. So the day before the show prices dropped. The morning of the show prices dropped again. Lower section $400+ tickets dropped around $130. My GF happened to have a terrible migraine that day, So we didn't go. We just watched it live on tv. And we both said it wasn't that great of a show. But was it because we weren't there

€400 is kind of the average. The so called "cheap seats" are about €330 and right up by ringside is around €460, I think. Given that the show is in Ireland I assume they'll probably have a lot of Irish representation on it. Becky Lynch, Finn Balor and such. I don't really follow it closely enough to know which wrestlers are on Raw and which are on Smackdown but they usually have some sort of crossover anyway. So I guess anybody could be there. For what it's worth, the advertisements for the event feature CM Punk and Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins but it also says "card subject to change" so I'd take that with a grain of salt

As long as I get to see Rhea Ripley then I'm happy. And Bron Breaker. But that's for a different reason entirely lol

If i was only paying for 1 ticket, I'd be willing to pay more to get a better seat. But nope I got to buy 2 tickets lol My GF bought tickets to the RAW show. So no complaints

I'm fine with upper level, as long its within the first 2/3 rows. No way would I want sit in those way back.

Also.. when tickets go on sale, not all areas are open/for sale. They start off with the seats that the tv audience views. The opposite side where the cameras are open up later or as needed. I waited for the sections to open up. But within a day or 2 lots of the good seats were gone (well within my price range)

Also the advertisement that shows who was set to appear was pretty accurate

Well, the tickets went on sale yesterday and after multiple errors on the website it seems like they're all sold out. In hindsight, I'm kind of glad. I'm not exactly made of money at the moment so I guess it's for the best. Hopefully next time they come I'll be more financially stable. Even if it's not for a televised event.

It's ok. Like I said, I could barely afford that anyway so maybe it's a blessing in disguise

But in more positive news, my cousin is taking me to Liverpool in a couple of weeks to see Bruce Springsteen. Kind of like an early birthday present for me. I only know a handful of his songs but she's a big fan so I can't help but think that this "gift" is more for her than it is for me. But I get a free trip to England out of it and a week away from work. So it's not all bad.

Yeah. I saved $300 plus not by going to RAW. I already had purchased tickets to Nine Inch Nails! & Weird Al Yankovic. I didn't want to spend more.. sigh

Not sure if this counts because it's not a concert but it is an event, but I'm going to the Dublin Comic Con in August. I'm dragging my son along with me and I plan to thoroughly embarrass him by not only going in costume, but also getting my picture taken with Daredevil star Vincent D'Onofrio, the weird looking dude from Stranger Things, the female villain from True Lies and more. I can't wait. It's going to be fun. Well, for me anyway lol

The Bruce Springsteen show was amazing. I didn't even recognise a lot of the songs but I still had a great time and in fairness, I think I knew more songs than I thought I would have. And some of the ones I didn't know I really liked so it's always kind of cool to discover new stuff. My only complaint, if you'd call it that, is the show was long. Like, really long. I knew beforehand that he's known for having long concerts and yet, I didn't heed the warning. I'd consider myself to be relatively fit and in pretty good shape but my legs were dead by the end lol . And Bruce Springsteen is more than 40 years older than I am and other than sweating like a pig, he looked like he could have done another couple of hours. I guess they don't call him The Boss for nothing.

Awesome!
clapping thanks for sharing.
That reminds me, way... back.. i saw George Clinton & The P Funk All Stars. They are known to jamming. They played Flashlight, and i was hyped! I was grooving, then the song seemed to play for like 20+ minutes. I can't keep up that energy, and this is when I was younger lol I have no problem standing for 3 hrs at a show (yes i had a seat). But musicly it was an exhausting show. After 3 hrs I was ready to go

So far the only show this year I've been to was Tyler, The Creator's "Chromakopia" tour at the Oakland Arena. Most likely going to Billy Idol with my mom at The Greek in Berkeley. Also hoping to catch both nights of Metallica at Levi's Stadium later this month. The Weeknd is also gonna be there next month, and that's a show I'd be down to see.
