Bruce Springsteen has announced the Tracks II: The Lost Albums box set which will be out June 17 via Sony Music.

It features seven never-before-heard full length albums. “’The Lost Albums’ were full records, some of them even to the point of being mixed and not released,” says Bruce. “I’ve played this music to myself and often close friends for years now. I’m glad you’ll get a chance to finally hear them. I hope you enjoy them.” They’re available for pre-order now.

The seven albums span 1983-2018 and include LA Garage Sessions ’83, Streets of Philadelphia Sessions, Faithless, Somewhere North of Nashville, Inyo, Twilight Hours, and Perfect World, with 83 songs in total. “The ability to record at home whenever I wanted allowed me to go into a wide variety of different musical directions,” Springsteen says of the variety found among these albums.

The box set also comes with a cloth-bound 100-page book featuring rare photographs, liner notes on each lost album from writer Erik Flannigan, and an introduction by Bruce.

I've seen people complain about the high price a lot, online.

But I think for 7 albums in a box, presented like this, the price is not too excessive.

Plus, there is also a download only Flac bundle iirc, for $ 60,-

And of course it will be on streaming services, practitally for free.

I would gladly be able to pay that for a box of 7 unreleased prince albums.

Sadly that is probably never even going to be an option, so for now, I'll just be glad
that Springsteen is releasing this kinda stuff.

Really looking forward to these albums.
