SNL 50th "Nothing Compares 2 U"

Prince rep was outstanding with Brittney Howard, The Roots, and Miley Cyrus.
Did you see it?
Any comments???

Yeah, Miley didn't need to really be there, but Brittney and The Roots stayed true to the original,
which actually brought a happy tear to my eye when she did the guitar solo biggrin

I like it all.

Questlove indeed kept the original, and honestly Brittany is so fantastic!

I really love her (and her voice!).

Miley's got a lot of Rock 'n roll in her voice, as does Brittany.

Something most female singers these days don't have.

Miley's voice is fantatstic, she has this very original sound.

Not like all these Barbie-doll-ish thin childish voices we mostly hear lately.

Off topic, (more or less).

Speaking of a great voice in the same 'timbre' (hope i use the right word here)... I just bought tickets for Patti Smith's 50 years celebration of 'Horses' tour. That's an original outstanding voice! That's something else.

Saw it. Loved it but Miley’s voice does grate a bit for me. Just glad they honored our man. He didn’t get much love from Quest in that SNL 50 music doc though. Weird considering how many times he was the musical guest…
