Six of the songs hit the top 40, three hit the top 10, and two were number one hits, including "Footloose" and "let's Hear It For The Boy."

"Almost Paradise" was number 7, and "Somebody's Eyes" was number 16 on the AC chart.

"Nasty Girl" by Vanity 6 was in the movie (in the strip club robbery) but wasn't on the soundtrack.
