Stevie Nicks on SNL

Her last vocal on "Edge Of 17" was:

"...I know what it sounds like when doves cry..."

Magical!!!

"Whatever skin we're in
we all need 2 b friends"

Just saw her on tour (2024) and there a few call outs to Prince in her screen projection. Very cool collage of performers, etc.

I believe the Prince connection has to do with the coincidence of "white winged dove" lyric. Otherwise, my understanding is that this song was formed from blend of losing a family member, the loss of her inspiration John Lennon, as well as a story of Tom Petty and his wife.

I'm so glad I got to see her live. It's obviously not 1984, but still solid and very inspiring.

Still it's nice to know, when our bodies wear out, we can get another

I saw Stevie last December after she rescheduled her tour due to a foot injury. She was still in a cast/boot but gave a great performance and told some funny stories, too. Stevie was also touring with Bill Joel as well as doing her own arena performances. Still a trooper. It was the first time I had seen her outside of Fleetwood Mac.
