New "single" Jagga on spotify I recently saw the new single uploaded on prince's official spotify and i don't really know what this is about. this clearly a mistake, how? |

This is a big issue with independent artists who send music to distribution companies. Usually, the artist or someone in their camp who is inexperienced are uploading and adding the metadata themselves. It causes a lot of confusion and mislabeled music. The distributors don't double-check any entries or tag them with the correct artist information so that the data matches for all the providers. They take whatever is entered at face value. | |

reminds me of "Donna Queen" a Spotify artist who initially uploaded several rare Madonna demos on Spotify before becoming some sort of AI Madonna tribute with song titles like Vogue that are whole different songs.
