Michael Jackson biopic coming out next year!! https://variety.com/2024/...235963898/ Michael Jackson's biopic will be released sometime in April of next year 2025!! I'm really excited to see how well they portray his life and his long career and impact on music and culture. The film is being directed by Antoine Fuqua so the film has promise to be well done!! And Michael's nephew Jaafar Jackson will play his uncle and they have a solid cast so far for the Jackson 5 and his mother and father! Do you think it will be worth seeing? I hope they do a good job because he deserves a well done biopic like Bohemian Rhapsody and OneLove Shockadelica, she must be a witch

This is a BTS of Jaafar and Nia Long (Katherine Jackson). Not sure, but this might a scene of them doing Jehovah's Witness duties. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

That movie will be an embarassing piece of shit.
MJ was filmed and photographed during virtually his whole life since age of 11. That's a real documentary we need, something done seriously like the Beatles anthology or the Peter Jackson documentary about Let It Be You can't sum up in 2 or even 3 hours of movie the main events of his oife. Or else it would be a succession of sketches without link. That's what they did with Bohemian Rhapsody, and there are so much more things to tell for MJ than for Freddy Mercury, no offense ( for one, MJ was a child star. Only that could do a movie) These biopic movies should be focused on one specific moment in a life. That makes for a more interesting story to tell. Or else, that movie was already made : it's the rétrospective segment from Moonwalker (!). Also, but I might be wrong, I doubt it will be a box office success. That movie cost already 155 million $, without marketing budget. When you know that only 4 months after his death, which was maybe the biggest buzz ever, This Is It "only" did About 250 million $, I doubt MJ could top that number ( let s say 300 millions with inflation). Bob Marley is huge and still very popular, and his movie lately flopped (175 million $ gross for a 70 million production budget). This movie will have to endure too much controversy : the Chandler and Atvizo accusations, his own children conception, the white-face... The one thing I hope from this movie, the one good thing that could come up with it, is that an obscure song from MJ's catalogue is featured prominently. Just like Love Of My Life from Bohemian Rhapsody movie, which was an obscure track, not even featured in the greatest hits, became a. worldwide hit, just because it was featured prominently in the movie. If that thing could happen to one or two songs from MJ, especially from the poorly received Invincible ( Speechless ? Whatever Happens ? Unbreakable ?), then I would be more than delighted and that would have worth it. Again, I doubt it : " only" 33 songs will be featured in the movie and MJ has so many hits. Among them, we will also get to hear many Jackson 5 and Motown solo songs in the first act, you can bet on it. I picture already a sequence with the pages of the Billboard magazine, showing the first 4 J5 single peaking at #1! And that's not how the MJ estate used to work. They are not looking for highlighting something else than what already works. They had an highway with Ghosts ( releasing the movie on dvd/blu-ray, theaters for Halloween) or make something creative with Invincible tracks, and they never bothered with. So why now? I agree focusing on one part of his life would help the flow of the story Shockadelica, she must be a witch

A Joey Barbarella will play the role of "John Gotti" in the movie. It was revealed by the FBI after MJ'death, that back in 1992, a tramp claiming to be John Gotti, a New-York mafioso, threatened to "commit mass murder at a Michael Jackson concert, if necessary" and to "personally attempt to kill Jackson". That's interesting, and not the kind of event one would expect from that kind of movie. So the writers seem to really dig deep in MJ's life, maybe to underline the fact MJ became more and more paranoid, and maybe an excuse to some of his excentricties.

One Love should have made its money back from box office receipts. Should then turn a profit post-theatre run. It's not big numbers though.
