When the videos of Paul Stanley lip syncing during The End of the Road tour by KISS came out, I was all over it. Those guys are such turd buckets with fans and they're musically boring. It was delicious.

But now - NOW - there is mounting evidence that Don Henley is miming on The Long Goodbye tour. Matching vocal performances from various shows, and they're exactly the same every single time - no one can do that. Not even Prince, not MJ... no one. It's humanly and physically impossible. But Henley's vocals are exact copies every time.

The rub here is that Henley goes on and on about having a team of people who scour YouTube and put out Copyright strikes against people covering his music. We're talking 20 year old kids in their bedroom doing an acoustic version of "One Of These Nights" or something. Not a huge band producing music videos. But he takes great pride, and is just steaming and furious in videos of him talking about this, about small musicians trying to cover his song(s).

I suppose someone has to sing a Don Henley-penned song live, and it sure ain't him.

He's always had a reputation of being a bit of a heel, but goddamn, Don. Throttle down.

That is funny.

Because when my wife and I saw a show from the Hell freezes over tour I said to her at the time. These guys are not very good live performers it's like just listening to the record.

Now 30 years later they are STILL touring and I guess playing the record and "singing" to it.

I get a little weary now with AI of beleiving anything posted on YOUTUBE or these mashups, because the software is SO EASY to use now and a lot of them are free. This one guy has a YOUTUBE channel and was showing how simple it is to do, pro and con. Not sure about the Eagles on this one, but I found a fake one or just plan wrong one on YOUTUBE a few years back when Bon Jovi was touring a little (now he is publically documented his vocal surgery) but someome posted a grainy YOUTUBE clip and said "See Jon is not singing" turned it he was singing the vocal was manipulated on the YOUTUBE upload, and also Jon has said again time again, he brought in his percussionist that he used on his solo albums and tours and has played in the band since 2013, he is also a vocalist and FILLED the harmony parts and power parts singing co lead with Jon to give the songs more power. Jon's surgery now is public, he sounds better,m still will not tour till as he said play 2-3 hours 4 days a week because thats the gig, if he cant do that, then its over for touring. So I am weary of anything posted now on Youtube etc...
