What Producer Should Madonna Have Made a Record With In Her Prime That She Didn't?

More for artistic quality than commercial success.

Years ago,I wanted Madonna to work with Daft Punk.An entire album produced by them would have been fantastic.

That's what she thinks she's doing with shit like Rebel Heart. If only Daft Punk had gotten in there first.

Louie Vega would have been an interesting choice for a full LP project, although even a really great Louis Vega/Madonna record would have still SOUNDED like a (really great) Louie Vega record with Madonna singing on it, if you know what I mean. However, a ROMANTHONY-produced Madonna record could have been profoundly and EXPLOSIVELY interesting. Say right around 95-96. Madonna has certainly earned the right to have her instincts trusted and not questioned, but every time I listen to "Roman World" - like I just did before making this thread - I cannot shake from my mind the thought of them doing a project together.

I'm gonna say Timbaland and The Neptunes.

Yes, she worked with them eventually, but by 2009's Hard Candy both were way past their prime (and Chad Hugo didn't even work with Pharell for the "Neptunes" tracks on the album). Try 8-10 years earlier, that's when it would have been legit.

One of her worst albums. If she's gonna go that route, she should've gotten Dallas Austin. Although the Nelle Hooper tracks she's had have been great.
