Welp. His first solo record is out. It's experimental flute music. The shortest song is 3 minutes but most go well beyond that, topping out at 17 minutes.

Simply the most pretentious gas bag of so called music I have ever heard. Every aspect of this album is an absolute joke. I pray this release is the ultimate practical joke...the song titles alone scream "look at me ...I'm clever". I would rather attend a poetry reading featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger than listen to this drivel.

I'd have to agree - it's pretentious and pointless.

People have been clamouring for this, though. Every couple months he gets social media buzz for playing his flute on a subway or something. He finally gave the people what they want.

I'm interpreting this as yet another Prince retread, however.

First he ripped off 80s album cut Prince now he fast-forwarded to aloof dgaf NPGMC miser-era Prince. Color me hyped, he's done it again.

I listened to it this morning and enjoyed it. I was doing my usual Saturday lounging late in bed. I kept falling back to sleep and having the most fun and interesting dreams.

I listened to some of this morning and I really dig it. I love Bill Laswell, Pharoah Sanders, Alice Coltrane and other "outside the box" stuff, so this fits right in my wheelhouse. Nice "zone out" music for relaxing or to meditate.
