ANITA BAKER acting up... again.

At her Houston concert last night, she started yelling at people in the crowd to "get back" from her because she didn't know them. (She probably didn't know anyone, to be fair.) She then called security and had them thrown out from "[her] front row."

Luther was right about her mean ass.

She has a right to not have people invade her private space on the stage; security does that at a lot of concerts, I'll bet.

No one was on the fucking stage with her. She needs to calm the fuck down.

Exactly. It's 2023, and they aren't trying to ban phones at shows anymore. Not unless the artist has those bags you put your phone in (a la Madonna at her Madame X Tour). All she can do is control herself, stop trying to police the audience. Did she think kicking out one person with a camera on their phone was going to stop the other 10K in the building from doing the same?

Auntie needs a break. Remaster ya records, expand them. Concentrate on that. Cuz live - she can't handle it.

I lost respect for her years ago when she would consistantly be 2 hours late for her shows, no explanations, no apologies. I work for a media company she showed up 3 hours late for an interview and behaved badly once she finally did arrive. And the way she acted a fool with Babyface earlier in the year, she was behaving like a scorned teenage girl. I always thought she was over-rated.

Not me! lol Just saw Stevie Nicks solo after she rescheduled her concert after breaking a foot and she showed up on time, was in great voice, sang my favorite songs, told some funny stories and didn't want to go because she was having such a good time. Anita can't do that? lol

She's a hot mess sorry but she's out of her mind. The fact anyone shows up to see you now, I mean it's not like you are this iconic artist who draws a lot of people, be lucky that you still have people come out and pay to see you, she doesn't even sound coherent

Wow never heard a bad thing about Martha Reeves and she always seemed very pleasant

during interviews. I never heard anything bad about Gladys Horton of The Marvelettes but I

did read that Wanda Young once she took over as the main lead singer in the latter part of the Marvellettes career she became quite the diva.

Can you picture Luther, Anita, and Aretha all in the same room at the same table? lol

Ive read and heard that Gladys Horton used to bully and pick on Diana Ross all the time during the traveling Motown Revues...ive also read that Martha Reeves used to pout and refuse to record unless certain Funk Brothers musicians were in on the recording sessions

And then proceeds to randomly put out there that Babyface does not like beyonce, hoping that piece of info would hurt his career.

Yes, exactly. Attempts to prohibit phones at performances have been shelved as of 2023. Not unless the performer has one of those mesh bags (like Madonna had on her Madame X Tour) where you can store your phone. She needs to rein herself in and quit trying to micromanage the crowd. Was she under the impression that removing one individual from the premises because they were using a phone camera would prevent the other 10,000 people from doing the same?
