Last night, it was reported that Smash Mouth lead singer Steve Harwell had entered hospice care for the final states of liver failure.

TMZ is now reporting that he's passed away. He was 56.

It's surreal because he's only a year older than me. While I'm not a big Smash Mouth fan, it's sad to hear someone so young die of something we consider an old person's problem or whatever. God bless his family.
