I really love this album. It's such pure disco/pop of the times. I remember getting my hair cut in high school, at a beauty college. "Holiday" was on the radio and I had heard it here or there a couple of times. A couple of the gay guys (students) were dancing around to it. I was giggling while getting my haircut. But everyone seemed to be tuned into the song and the sheer joy of it.

It was probably the first Madonna song I'd heard. I don't remember "Everybody" or "Burning Up" before that. I think it ranks better than Like A Virgin in many ways, and is comparable to True Blue.

It's one of the albums from the early days of perfect 80s pop music. And it's still a joy to listen to.

I love Madonna's early stuff. She had some awesome songs up until the True Blue album then she spent her time chasing new not producers and became very serious. It's a great debut album with no filler whatsoever 👌
