The Doobie Brothers - Michael Jackson So I just happened across a live performance of Michael McDonald singing "What A Fool Believes." If you have a problem with me, text me. If you don't have my number, you don't know me well enough to have a problem with me.

The Wikipedia entry for the song says that Michael Jackson once joked to Elizabeth Taylor that he had sung on a backing track for the Doobie Brothers version and his joke was broadcast as fact by Entertainment Tonight, who were unaware he was joking. So he never actually sang on the song. The Doobie Brothers themselves even denied he had any involvement.

Bubbles was the actual backup singer. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato
