80's masterpieces: Rebbie Jackson, Centepede.

This could be MJ's best song. That weird melody behind the beat. A strange song with a amazing chorus. Rebbie has no talent, so this is some trick..lol This is not about Rebbie but that fucking song.

MJ was still a freak lol

I'll tell U what the Eye in the Pimp stand 4!

She actually has a nice voice.Btw,that's Martha Wash adding those strong vocals you hear near the end.

It's by far, not, MJ's best song. I would like to hear his vocal on it, though.

Is it good songwriting? Sure. It's kinda classic MJ. Good verse and hook, yummy harmonies in the pre-chorus and chorus. And if it were not for Thriller, no one would've given two shits about a Rebbie song, even if it was written by her brother. It's certainly the only reason I ever gave it a listen.

The video is hokey, in true 80s fashion. The performance on Solid Gold is equally cringe-worthy. She always comes off as a low-budget Debbie Allen. I'm sure as a person she's a nice auntie. As a singer - have a seat, girl.

And kudos to Janet for sampling it on the "All For You" breakdown. Not sure why that decision was made by Jam & Lewis and Janet, but it surely put a cuppa bucks in someone's pocket, although MJ nor Rebbie are listed in the songwriting credits for it.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I love the production on this. Woulda loved the an album by MJ with those thick ass mid 80's synths.

Yes, great song all round. Great hook too! Makes me wonder if written for Diana Ross initially?

Rebbie's album done with rnb group Surface is much more in her wheel house then uptempo pop like "Centipede". She carries this song fine though

A dude on YouTube reacted to this and called the opening a “freaky ass beat”. I agree. The song is slick!

Lavish spending on the video - and one can just smile now seeing tigers and cobra snakes...

Love her voice. Probably better suited to slower jams, but nice.

Her version of “Fly Away” with MJ is solid too. A really good slow jam.
