WHAM!

Has anyone seen the netflex Doc on Wham! yet?

GM died the same year as P and GM's Estate managed to put this out. I liked it. It was just about the time they were together as WHAM! and didn't delve into very much of their personal lives.

Yes. Very nostalgic. Surprising they never discussed whether G or A were a couple or not.

I absolutely do not believe that they were ever a couple or even dallied with each other.

He wouldn't have had to of come out with Andrew or Shirley if they were.

I think Andrew was a very good friend to him, I've not heard too much where Andrew has spoken badly about him.

Wonder if they kept in touch at the end?

Of course they did. They were in another BBC (or iTV or something?) documentary where they were in the same room talking. This was since his outing in 1998.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

It was a well done documentary. It did take a bit of a GM turn about half way through, but why shouldn't it?

I think I was surprised about GM saying he would have to do the writing if they wanted to go further; that he had the skills to write better songs. I wonder if they shared publishing 50/50 or what? It'd sorta leave AR out in the cold financially if they didn't.

I thought it was great that AR's mother kept those scrap books.

I don't believe they were a couple or even dallied around. I think AR was quite happy getting the pussy he did back then. EVen GM had a bit. Did they tag-team a couple of women in a hotel room? Possibly.

I think I was struck by both of their utter lack of shame with their bodies. Not much was left to the imagination after that "Club Tropicana" video." There's a raw sexuality they had, that most guys do in their teens and their twenties. AR was good looking as a teen, and they both bloomed quite a bit by the time WHAM! was happening.

Overall it was good. I'm surprised there weren't any on-camera shots of GM or AR. AR re-recorded some of his stuff, but GM's was archived. Why no video?

I suppose it keeps the focus on the story, really, and I'm okay with that.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.
