Jack White Into the twilight (Prince Influence?) It might just be the vocal effect he uses, but I think it runs a little deeper. https://www.youtube.com/w...wMepratiNo Can't seem to get the video to embed. But the link is above.

RJOrion said: No...Daft Punk influence maybe...but Prince Nelson?...no I don't hear Daft Punk. I think the pitch shifted vocals sound pretty close to Prince's. I'm not sure on the dates but I know Jack bought and had wanted to put out an unreleased Prince record on his label. The way he sings over the guitar riff too. I think he must have been listening to P when he came up with this.

I think the experimental nature of the track is a bit reminiscent of prince.

He's absolutely influenced by Prince. I made a comment a few months back that his song "Got You Surrounded With My Love" is very Prince like. I heard it live, and even more so. Plus I've seen Jack play keys and guitar at the same time like a certain purple someone I once watched do the same. Jack White is also a very funky drummer & multi-instrumentalist.

I can hear Prince and Daft Punk influences, but the Daft Punk influences could be just because of the instrument changes from the Manhattan Transfer original.
