I've been watching so many Tina videos lately. Her on The Cher Show (a year before she left Ike), her singing a medley with Tom Jones (2 years after she left Ike), once with Bette Midler, Elton, and Flip Wilson. She worked her ass off. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Tina allegedly turned down Elton's silly "Act of war" duet, which went to Millie Jackson. Song is alot of very 80's fun.
Also read Diane Warren was fuming when "Don't turn around" only made a b side. Shoulda made "Break every rule", but one too many ballads maybe? Song became a huge hit in an uptempo version in UK by Aswad.
"Break every rule" is easily my fav album of hers I own. Her 90's stuff is spotty but her legacy was secured by then so it's just extra as far as Iam concerned. But what a comeback "Private Dancer" was.

Oh and compilations often sell better in UK and possibly Europe as a general rule. Exception being The Eagles Greatest hits in America of course LOL.
Plus that compilation came off the back of a the huge album and tour "Foreign Affair". Sadly UK never plays "Typical Male", which charted badly here. Funny how it's different sometimes.
