Responsible for educating 70s kids (me) that were watching cartoons. They were getting knowledge into our minds subtly because of how good the music was.

The fact that I can still sing the songs like I can recall a Prince song is a testament to music director Bob Dorough, songwriter Dave Frishberg and singer Jack Sheldon.

One of my favorites was Verb: it's What's Happening

It's one of the most iconic and memorable creations to ever be on television, especially children's television. But really, the 1970s were a revolutionary time not just for television in general, but those shows aimed at children's entertainment and education.

And to nestle it into Saturday morning viewing was genius.
