Best soul song of the 90s, no, it aint Prince.

90s were a good time for slick soul jams. Especially ballads, which is what I mean. And, no, be honest, Prince didn't write it. Prolly the best song of that period was Roni. Another Sad Love Song, Badu, Something for the People, TTD, Delicate. Knockin Da Boots by H-Town always got me; Color Me Badd, I Adore, Me Amore. So many.

I'll tell U what the Eye in the Pimp stand 4!

Boyz II Men "Please Don't Go" is up there. Also partial to Jodeci's "Feenin'". Mariah/Bone Thugz "Breakdown".

Yeah, I prefer "feenin'" to "freak n u". Also love H Towns "Part time lover", which is basically Jodeci for obvious reasons

Silk "Freak me" is still sexy asf

Too bad "How does it feel" by d'Angelo was released on 1/1/2000 biggrin
Otherwise, Waterfalls (TLC) or I believe I can fly (you know who) are soul songs from the 90's that really made an impression on me.

D'Angelo's entire first album

Brand New Heavy's Brother Sister

Maxwell's entire first album
