1987 - Georgio and Madame X Just browsed through my vinyl collection, and in a section I vaguely classified as "somehow Prince-inspired" I saw two LPs I bought in 1987 and remembered I played them quite often:
I know Georgio is not well-liked by some around here, but I loved both these records as a 16 year old - thought they were wild.
What do you think - anyone here also fans?

Madame X was put together and produced by Bernadette Cooper from Klymaxx, so of course it has Prince influence all over it. She was always the female Morris Day, to many. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I love the Madame X album. It's extremely funky, bold and edgy. One of the best R&B albums of the late 80s.Very underrated.

Still have both my CDs. Great late 80s music. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

I did like Georgio, but listening now his songs and instrumentations are extremely simple. I hear that with a lot of these by Prince infleunzed artists.

Georgio ...wow...yeah, did like that album. Bedrock, Sex Appeal, Tina Cherry...all Prince. I feel like I have seen a picture of Georgio at Paisley Park....what was the connection?
Does anyone remember, Clayton Savage? Back in 1988...I saw this cover ...looking all like Prince starting str8 into the camera. Then I flipped it around and see the guy with a guitar....IT HAD TO BE LIKE PRINCE!!!!! I bought it and it sounded like Jesse's voice.....until you get to Virgin Lover...ALL PRINCE man! That falsetto....just overboard Prince.

"Cherries In The Snow" by Madame X.......GOOSEBUMPS!!!! I do believe They were Proteges of Bernadette Cooper (of Klymaxx). THAT is who should by now have done a Duet w/Morris Day: Miss Bernadette Cooper!!

in 1988,there were plans for a second Madame X album but unfortunately,it never materialized.Teena Marie (a close friend of Bernadette Cooper) mentioned that she was gonna contribute a track or two.
