theyre still touring & writing full on.
sure their stuff these days is more radio friendly & 'safe', & my fave albums r New Jersey & 7800 Farenheit & KeepTheFaith... but theyre the kinda band where if u have the albums u actually get what they r on about. just hearing the singles gives u an excuse 2 call them a '80s hair band'. 
& yeh ellie Jon's voice is amazing. i saw them live in december in melbourne & after waiting for 14hours during line ups & all the shitty pop/rnb acts at the RUMBA festival,they kicked ass. half the crowd was there just 4 JOVI. they r much better live & improvise all the time,so its always fresh. I must say though, they haven't made a decent studio album since 'Keep The Faith'. I hung on for 'These Days' but never bothered buying it. However, they are a GREAT live act, and every tour is a re-run of their greatest hits, so it doesn't matter where they are "creatively". | |
