MARY WILSON WILL SING: Former Supreme brings supreme sound back. (May. 1, 2003) *A fan of bringing the old school to the new? Former Supreme Mary Wilson is doing just that. Her yet untitled new CD is expected to hit sometime this fall. And along with her sparkling voice, the former Motown star is re-teaming with production power players Holland-Dozier-Holland – the guys who created some of the Supremes’ greatest hits. Meanwhile, Wilson is taking part in a celebration of the soul she’s recreating. She will appear in the movie “Only the Strong Survive: A Celebration of Soul” that opens May 9 in Chicago, New York, Detroit, Memphis, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington, DC. The movie, which was a selection of the 2002 Cannes and Sundance Festivals, is a documentary showcasing music gigs of some great music legends. In addition to Wilson, the film also stars Isaac Hayes, Jerry Butler, Wilson Pickett, and many other soul stars.

Wouldn't it be cool if Diana Ross would re-team with the *original* Supremes and record a new album with Holland-Dozier-Holland? Then maybe do a reunion tour (a REAL reunion tour this time...lol).It would be intersting.

I stopped hopping that looong time ago seems that Mary & Diane(as she calls her) won't grow up and leave their problems aside. Oh well, I hope Mary teams up with Arif Mardin too, that way I'll enjoy it 2 the fullest. Lamont backing this set isn't bad at all.
